An exciting opportunity exists for a Legal Counsel to join and lead the legal team of an AIM listed and global, innovative tech company, who deliver high quality SaaS products to the marketing and communications industries. With over 1,000 employees across 10 countries, and over 6,000 organisations using their products, you will be responsible for a broad range of business-critical legal matters, including all commercial contracting, risk & compliance and operational matters.


About the Role;


Reporting directly to the COO you will operate as the Sole Legal Counsel and with a Contracts Manager reporting into you, you will be expected to act as a trusted partner and advisor to the business. As well as being responsible for commercial contracting matters, you will be required to communicate effectively with internal business functions, such as the key Commercial and Sales teams, lead and advise on corporate governance and shareholder matters as well as manage and mitigate all risk, in relation to security, data and compliance.


About You;


You must be a qualified solicitor with 3-5 years PQE. Ideally you will have experience of working in either the technology or commercial/corporate practice of a law firm, and have worked in-house at a technology company, with a working knowledge of SaaS products and services.


The role requires a high-level of confidence and creativity, alongside an enthusiastic and pro-active approach. The ability to work flexibly in a fast-moving and rapidly changing business environment will also be necessary.
