Our client is a Sunday Times Best 100 company to work for nationally and one of the Top 75 in both of their main regions of East Anglia and East Midlands. This is a newly created opportunity for a senior commercial contracts solicitor to lead the firm's commercial team.
As a growing firm, they have made a number of key partner hires and have growth plans in Cambridge and Milton Keynes in particular, but generally are improving turnover and profitability across the board. This means that the successful candidate will have the ability to join the firm at an exciting time in its development and to be part of that growth and development.
You will be charged with developing a stand-alone commercial specialism within the overall corporate, commercial and banking group. There is an established bank of commercial work and commercial clients and therefore whoever comes to lead the team will have some existing work to do and existing client relationships to develop. The firm has a sophisticated IP/IT team who also undertake some commercial work, who you will be able to leverage from for support in growing and developing commercial work.
This position has great potential to make your mark and to really build and develop something, and to be given a certain level of autonomy to do that, within the realms of their overall firm business plan.
