Your New Company

Our client is a leading Investment Manager with significant presence across the global. Due to business needs, the client is looking for a Regional Legal Counsel to provide in-house legal support to the business in Asia, covering all aspects of the business across the region.

Your New Role

The role will cover a range of areas in Asia, including distribution, mandates, corporate matters, procurement/suppliers, trading, and other BAU matters. You would be involved in drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents in relation to new product/mandate launches, as well as advising the business on legal and regulatory issues in relation to the operation of business. This role will be one of the key contact points for all internal and external clients, and will be responsible for reviewing, assessing and addressing legal and regulatory issues relating to the business.

What you will need to succeed

The ideal candidate is a Hong Kong or common law qualified lawyer with 5-8 years'PQE with experience in funds/asset management. You must be fluent in English and Chinese (including Mandarin), and be able to exercise good judgement and provide effective counsel under tight time constraints in a complex environment.
