This is an exciting new opportunity to join their legal team, as a key member of their employment team, bringing your expertise and experience to one of their key non-UK markets (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal or the Netherlands). They support the businesses HR, Industrial Relations and Employee Relation teams and this role will have a significant amount of interaction with wider business stakeholders both in the UK and across their European network.

They are looking for an EU qualified lawyer to continue to strengthen the legal support they provide in-house within Europe. You will work closely with our key business stakeholders, including the European HR Managers and Industrial Relations team. You will advise commercially and pragmatically on legal strategy, risk and opportunity, as well as making sure they are complying with the basics.

This role works with and supports the Senior Labour and Employment Lawyers deliver strategic, commercially focussed legal services across their European network. Your work will be advisory including employee relations matters (disciplinaries, grievances, absence management); restrictive covenants; whistleblowing; working time queries; TUPE; policy reviews; bonus and benefits and exit arrangements. A core part of the role will also be industrial relations, contract management and litigation focused.

The successful candidate will be a commercial employment lawyer (qualified in at least one jurisdiction of the following: France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain). They will be 3-7 years' post-qualification experience in employment law, preferably including both law firm and in-house experience.

Fluency in spoken and written English, as well as the language of your qualification jurisdiction is essential.

The role is full time role (40 hours per week) but consideration will be given to part time options. The business operates a hybrid working which involves both home and office work each week.

The successful candidate will be required to work from one of the company locations in Luton or its other locations in Europe where there are offices: France (Paris), Germany (Berlin), Italy (Milan), the Netherlands (Amsterdam), Portugal (Lisbon), Spain (Barcelona), Switzerland (Geneva), UK (Luton).
