Our client is a UK Top 100 commercial law firm providing a comprehensive range of legal services from Birmingham. Their award-winning employment team currently has a superb opportunity for a mid-level associate to join them at their Birmingham city centre office.
The firm has a nationally recognised employment, pensions and immigration team which primarily advises employer organisations across a broad range of industry sectors. In joining the team your role would involve advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters, working as part of a national team, supporting partners on more complex matters whilst being responsible for your own case load. You would be advising on employer relations matters including internal disciplinary/grievance/capability processes, reviewing policies and procedures and contracts, advising on equalities obligations, conduct of and/or support on Employment Tribunals, advising on TUPE processes including inputting into drafting of commercial agreements, delivering training on a broad range of employment issues and supporting business development.
The successful candidate will be involved in providing sound, commercial employment advice and gained experience of a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including ET claims, employer relations issues including settlement negotiations, Equal Opportunities and advising on restructures/redundancy processes/TUPE.
